4 New Horror Movies Releasing This Week Including ‘I Saw the TV Glow’ at Home

One of the most acclaimed horror films of the year, A24’s I saw the TV glow returns home this week and joins three other horror films as well as an anthology TV series.

First, Gravitas Ventures launched GS Foxwood Horror Movie Wild and wicked eyes on VOD channels last Tuesday, June 11th. The film combines elements of horror, family drama and fantasy to “create a unique, emotionally powerful and terrifying experience”.

Molly Kunz (Widows, the irrational), Michael X. Sommers (Sense8), Stefanie Estes (Smooth and silent), It is Colleen Camp (Tip) stars in the independent horror film Wild and wicked eyes.

Wild and wicked eyes follows Lily Pierce (Kunz) as she attempts to fight back against the medieval creature that has haunted her family for generations. She must reconnect with her estranged father, Gregory (Sommers), a disgraced history professor, and learn how to harness a time of steel and blade, when armor-clad knights rode horses and dueled monsters to the death.


A24 and Writer/Director Jane Schoenbrun I saw the glow of the TV is one of the most talked about horror films of this year and is now available to watch at home! A24’s nostalgic sci-fi horror film is available to rent digitally for $19.99 or purchase for $24.99.

In the film, “Owen is just trying to survive in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious TV show – a vision of a supernatural world beneath his own. In the pale glow of the television, Owen’s vision of reality begins to falter.”

Exhumes grave

The big Korean box office hit Connecting was released on VOD channels last Tuesday and, starting today (June 14), the film is now available to stream exclusively on Shudder.

Connecting is directed by Jang Jae Hyun (Svaha: The Sixth Finger) and stars popular Korean actors CHOI Min-Sik (Oldboy, I saw the devil), KIM Go-Eun (Hero, Little Women), YOO Hae-Jin (A taxi driver), It is Lee do-hyun (Prison Handbook, Sweet Home).

In the film, “When a renowned shaman and her protégé are hired by a wealthy and enigmatic family, they begin to investigate the cause of a disturbing supernatural illness that affects only the firstborn of each generation. With the help of an experienced mortician and the country’s most revered geomancer, they soon trace the origin of the disease to a long-hidden family tomb located on sacred ground.

“Sensing an ominous aura around the cemetery, the team chooses to exhume and relocate the remains immediately. But as something much darker emerges, they soon discover what happens to those who dare disturb the wrong grave.”


Tiger Stripes 2024

A young girl is the first to reach puberty among her friends in the coming-of-age horror story tiger stripesand body horror in Malay language film opened in select theaters today.

If you can’t find it in theaters, it will return to VOD on July 9th.

tiger stripes is written and directed by Amanda Nell I, marking his directorial debut. The film’s unique approach to horror has been compared to Carrie It is Ginger Snaps.

Nightmares and Daydreams Teaser

And finally, the Indonesian filmmaker Joko Anwar (Slaves of Satan, Impetigore), known internationally for stylish, gory horror, is back with the seven-episode supernatural anthology series “Nightmares and daydreams,which began streaming on Netflix today.

Netflix describes “Nightmares & Daydreams” as “a supernatural thriller series that shows there isn’t necessarily a rational explanation behind every occurrence.”

Here’s the full official synopsis: “A supernatural sci-fi series about ordinary people who encounter strange phenomena that may hold the key to the answer to the origin of our world and the imminent threat we soon face. Characters and plots will intertwine like pieces of a puzzle. And the overall picture will be inspiring.”

The seven-episode series features a different story and a new set of actors in each episode, leading to a big showdown at the end. Ario Bayu, Lukman Sardi, Yoga Pratama, Fachri Albar, Marissa AnitaIt is Sita Nursanti star in “Nightmares and Daydreams”.
